Different Types of Yoga: What is Power Yoga?

I get so many questions from people who don't know what type of yoga to start with, or what the different types are, so here is a little series to help you - and remember, when you sign up for our online subscription at www.HealthGirl.ca/join we have a private 1-on-1 to chat about what types might best suit your goals! Our All-Inclusive subscription includes unlimited access to all regularly-scheduled live classes, all recorded content, plus bonus subscriber-only events and giveaways!

Beginner Power Flow Yoga: For those who want a bit more of a physical practice, but don't want to go to a traditional gym, this is a great option.

Particularly in the beginning months, we focus on building stability and strength, along with stretching, using basic yoga postures to provide a solid foundation. Alternatives are given whenever possible for those who may need to make things less challenging, as well as ways to bring the level up a bit for those who wish to safely explore a bit more difficulty in their practice.

This is great for those who think they can't stay still for very long! These beginner power classes will usually change from week to week to keep your body guessing, while building strength and flexibility.

Students are always encouraged to listen to their bodies and not to push beyond their physical and mental limits.

As always, ask your doctor if you are unsure whether you are ready for an exercise program or not.

We have a 30-day money-back guarantee as well, so if you aren't sure, you can try HealthGirl.ca out with no risk to you!

Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have. And check out our monthly schedule on our website to see when the next Chair Yoga class is!

Cheers,
